A Shaded Path
This series raises the vagrancy of Kyrgyzstan, a country on the outskirts of global headlines, torn between the burden of its soviet past and the modern westernisation. There is a gap between an ageing population still nostalgic for the time of the USSR, and a connected youth, but still disillusioned. While approaching the themes related to this territory, this photo-documentary highlights the existential struggle regarding our relation to past, present and future, and the individual's anonymous position in the globalisation.
The photographs were taken with an analog large format camera.
