Calques

With awareness of my immediate vicinity, I use photography to capture what modifies reality, what enlarges or obstructs the sight. Everywhere in the landscape, layers seem to slide between elements and envelop them; the real and fake, the natural and artificial intertwine, the images are being embedded.
Photography frames a world alternately flat, dense or absurd but always mesmerizing.
A game of mirrors and nesting tables, Calques flees the evidence and attempts to slow down and moderate the gaze and the current state of mind, obsessed with immediacy, haunted by a constant flow of information and the struggle to distinguish between the truth and the deception.
